King Spork and His Knights

For many years the Kingdom of Sporkalot was a peaceful Kingdom. People came from countries all over the world just to bask in the splendor of this great kingdom. The king of this great kingdom was King Spork. He was a great king who was loved by all of his subjects. He treated no one person unfairly. This king did not beleive in punishment..he beleived in second chances. Everyday the king held large festivels in which everyone was invited. The king was almost like a friend to most people. The king was undeniably the kindest most caring King in the world.

One day it all ended. The Kingdom was reduced to dust. The work of an evil force destroyed the Kingdom. The only survivors were the King , two priests named Sporkian and Sporkenstien, and 4 of his greatest Spork knights. They were the Mighty Sporks of the round table. Their names were Sir Sporkain, Sir Sporklot, Sir Sporket, and Sir Sporktin.

One of the days the one priest Sporkian recieved a holy message from the spork god. The Spork said that to the north of them lies a large black fortress which holds the most evil of all demons. This demon was called Krops. This demon was against anything and everyone that had anything to do with sporks. The king soon decided to find this evil demon and vanquish it.

The journey to the fortress was long and painstaking. They fought against many a foe. They continued onward not stopping save only to rest. They kings determination never faded, nor did any of the others.

The day had finally come. The found themselves standing at the foot of the largest structure they had ever seen. They unhesitantly enter the massive fortress and moved through the halls as silently as they could. Everything was going good so far.

Suddenly a dragon appeared out of nowhere. The dragon immediatly attacked. The surprise attack caused Sir Sporkain to stumlbe towards the dragons massive fiery mouth. Sir Sporkain was dead. The rest of the party began to battle the ferocious foe. Blow after blow the Dragon began to weaken tremendously. After fifteen minutes the dragon fell limp. The party stood in a circle around their fallen friend. Sporkian and Sporkenstien began chanting. The others wathced the two. Suddenly there was a flash of light and Sir Sporkain was alive again. The two priest used the power of the spork to ressurect their friend. After a moment of celebrating they headed into the Demons hall.

The walked into the dark hall and looked only to see more darkness. The room seemed to become darker and darker. Suddenly a voice spoke.

“Welcome to my Fortress.”

The party looked about trying to find the source of the voice. The room began to light and a huge red demon stood in front of them all. “Aha ha ha haaaaaaaa so, the spork has sent you to dispose of me.” “Hmph, the spork underestimates my strength.

King Spork then steps forward. “You destroyed my peacful Kingdom, I shall send you back to the Hell in which you came!”

The demon stood fully erect and spoke. “Then come King Spork, send me back to Hell……IF YOU CAN!!”

The demon slashed at the parth with one or its massive claws. The party was flung in different directions. King Spork drew his sword and lunged at the demon. The blade protruded through the demons left claw. The demon screeched in pain. The rest of the party took this opertunity to attack the fiend. The Demon was quite surprised by this attack and was easily toppled. The party fought with infinite strength. The Demon was weakened and was down on one knee King Spork leaped into the air and brought his sword into the Demons skull which cracked open to reveal its evil black brain. The Demon soon vanished in a flash of light. King Spork looked around for the rest of the party. Sir Sporkain was badly wounded, Sir Sporket was getting up with sword in hand, Sir Sporktin was standing with his sword gazing at the spot where the Demon once stood, Sir Sporkiot was panting heavily while trying to walk over to King Spork with a broken leg. Sporkian and Sporkenstien were dusting off their robes which were drencked in the blood of the demon. King Spork Sheathed his sword and turned towards the door.

“Lets go…..our work is done.”

The party solemnly exited the chamber and headed for the fortresses exit.

Several years later there was news of another Sporkalot. Since everyone knew the fate of the last Sporkalot they were afraid to go there. Sporkalot soon faded from existance. Legends say that King Spork and the others went to an island called Sporkalon. No one is really sure if thatys where they went of not. No one really cared about the fate of a king and his Spork knights. The only living relatives of those who lived in the ancient kingdom are two Priests. These priest where named after their ancestors, Sporkian and Sporkenstien. They say that one day King Spork and his Spork knights will come back and restore Sporkalot once again.

I was adopted by a good Utah Mormon family when only an infant. I had no comprehension of what that meant through childhood, however, I recall that I never really felt comfortable with the Mormon teachings from my earliest days of cognition. As I passed through, and out of the Mormon faith at the age of 23 by way of ex-communication, it became very clear that it was a blessing in disguise. Continue reading
